Happy Holidays 2022 Charity

Happy Holidays to you and yours and few other folks we love to help at this giving time of the year. With that in mind we are supporting the following charities:

First up is Johns Hopkins Children’s Hosptital:

We are particularly focusing on the older kids who seem to get a bit overlooked during the holidays, and we just can’t have that! Please check out there website to purchase surprises from their wish-lists.

Bring in your new unwrapped toys and toss them in Santa’s big box by December 15th. We just love getting to go toy shopping!

Coat Drive!

Our lovely stylist, Caryn, has such a big heart! She has set up a Coat Drive for families in need!

She is collecting lightly loved hats, scarves, and coats of all sizes and sending them to Charm City Warmth Drive.

Come on in to DryLand Salon and donate a coat to someone in need. We’ll be taking coats to the distribution center after January 4th!

Save a Veteran’s House! and his cute Pup!

This is Larry. He’s a veteran, honorably discharged with a bullet in his leg, and he’s about to lose his house unless we can raise $6,000 by September 23rd.

Larry is our neighbor, and he lost what was left of his sight during an accident 7 months ago. We’re talking to the VA and other assistance organizations, but they won’t give us an extension on his house foreclosure to work through all the paperwork and get his military pension processed (since he never felt he deserved it, but now it’s important).

He has a reverse mortgage that has been putting food in Pappy’s bowl, but with Larry’s declining condition, he’s going to need more permanent help; in-home help, so that he can keep his super sweet dog! But first we must save his house!!!

Please spare whatever assistance you can to help us reach our goal. Updates will be posted here with progress and pictures of a happy Pappy!
