Happy Holidays to you and yours and few other folks we love to help at this giving time of the year. With that in mind we are supporting the following charities:
First up is Johns Hopkins Children’s Hosptital:
We are particularly focusing on the older kids who seem to get a bit overlooked during the holidays, and we just can’t have that! Please check out there website to purchase surprises from their wish-lists.
Next we have: Toys for Tots
Bring in your new unwrapped toys and toss them in Santa’s big box by December 15th. We just love getting to go toy shopping!
Pencils, books, backpacks, and paper! We’re collecting school supplies for our local schools. We know a lot of teachers, and we know how tough it can be to teach when all the kids don’t have the proper supplies, so our stylist, Kiki, reached out to the local schools and got the following list of needed supplies:
Pencil cases (no zippers or tins)
#2 yellow Pencils, pre sharpened
Erasers (square and pencil cap)
Blunt Tip Scissors
Dry erase markers
Handheld Pencil Sharpener with shaving collector
Pens – Red, Blue, and Black
Non-Metal Ruler (12”/30cm)
Three Ring binder with 3” Rings
3 Ring binder with 1 ½” Rings
Black and White Composition Books
Wide Ruled Notebook Paper
70 page spiral notebooks
5 tab dividers
4” X 6” Index Cards
Ziploc bags (Qt and Gal Preferred)
Disinfectant wipes/Baby wipes (Non-toxic)
Bookbags (no wheels)
We hope you’ll help us out by bringing in some supplies for the kids! We’ll be sorting them by grade and delivering them on Friday August 31st!
We’re so excited that celebrity hair stylist Wayne Tuggle is coming to DryLand to teach a master-class to our team!!
We still need a Hair Model for this class! If you are available on Sunday, April 22, and have shoulder-length hair and want to have it cut and layered by a legend, please send a picture of your current hair to email@example.com.
He will be discussing how layers and face shape go hand-in-hand, as he perfects your hair to compliment your face!
Our lovely stylist, Caryn, has such a big heart! She has set up a Coat Drive for families in need!
She is collecting lightly loved hats, scarves, and coats of all sizes and sending them to Charm City Warmth Drive.
Come on in to DryLand Salon and donate a coat to someone in need. We’ll be taking coats to the distribution center after January 4th!
Giving helps you get into the Holiday Spirit!
