Rebuttal – Your hair is at stake!!

Shine on Highlights

We recently posted a little story about someone who had gotten a bad color job (read it here), and they called to get some answers:

“How long should I wait before I get my hair colored again?”

We are taking this time to change our answer…

She should not wait another second!!!!!

The structural integrity of your hair is at stake, and so is your mental well-being!!

Science has made it possible to correct damage caused by bleaching or color processing or even Prevent it! That poor woman needs OLAPLEX STAT!!!

She also needs the assurance that her color looks and feels the way that makes her happy. When your hair isn’t right, you touch it more and manipulate it more, and that is bad for damaged hair.

We could even tone the over-processed strands with OLAPLEX to repair the bonds that support the shaft of the hair.

The original answer was the old way of thinking. Welcome to the FUTURE!!

Highlighting Mishaps?

We recently received a call from someone who had her hair highlighted by another salon. After explaining the trauma she felt, she asked a really great question:

“How long should I wait before I get my hair colored again?”

This is a GREAT QUESTION!!!! We understand the impulse to want to fix your hair immediately after a traumatic color job, but hang in there if you can. The structural integrity of your hair is at stake!

Based on the type and amount of highlighting, we recommended this woman wait 3 weeks before making any color corrections. Her hair needs to find its balance first.

Now let’s say she just couldn’t wait that long; she has options. She would need an OLAPLEX treatment STAT! Defend that color damaged hair! And rather than recoloring, we could tone the hair by just adding pigment to her stripped down hair. But we still recommend giving your hair a rest. #hairsalvation
